Yesterday, 2 April 2019, the fifth edition of the Label Innovations conference “What does your packaging say?” took place, dedicated to the subject of “Eco, which will buy a consumer, and eco-innovations in packaging and labels.”
During the conference a number of lectures took place, including:
- Eco, what about – that is, opportunities and threats resulting from the extended responsibility of producers. Extended producer responsibility, i.e. legal obligations introducing packaging or packaged products to the market – Daniel Chojnacki, Counsel Praktyki Infrastruktury i Energetyki DZP and Tymon Grabarczyk, Associate Dakty Infrastruktury i Energetyki DZP.
- Mass of green leaves, or personalized communication on the packaging – what will you be able to convince X, Y and Z generation consumers to buy their products? Generation X, Y, Z – specificity of purchasing and consumption behavior – dr hab. engineer, prof. nadz. University of Economics in Poznań Magdalena Ankiel.
- How do organic products threaten the development of premium brands? The future of premium packaging in the context of the growing importance of ecology. The impact of packaging on brand perception. Research on the visual attractiveness of luxury packaging. – Katarzyna Kozińska, Managing Director Poland API Group plc.
- Trends: ECO and CLEAN LABEL in graphic design of labels. Searching for good products vs building positive associations for product labels – Jarosław Grzesica – CEO in creative agency „This” and Mateusz Bąkała – Creative Director of Studio „This”.
- How to combine ecology and economics? Trends among substrates for printing labels – Izabela Antczak, Technical Sales Manager at UPM Raflatac.
- Eco that a consumer will buy – that is about labeling eco-innovations – Iwona Studzińska, Development Director at Etykiety.pl Etigraf.
The conference culminated in creative workshops “Create labels that sell products”, during which participants in groups created creative assumptions for two products: vegan balsam and vegan drink. The next stage of the work was to create a label for the product packaging, based on the previously created brief. Participants had at their disposal UPM Raflatac Poland printable bases, API Group Poland refinement foils, graphic elements designed by Thisiscreative creative studio, office supplies, a bit of imagination, own experience and creativity as well as expert advice from Etykiety.pl Etigraf.
